I have seen the paulding lights many times. It is definately 100% not car lights. I have seen it change colors- blues, reds, white, and green. It hovers in the sky going up, down and side to side. The side to side movements cover vast amounts of area and I have not as yet seen a car move sideways. Lol. Also I have seen the light come closer and back off. It has sped towards me where it appears to only be 100-200 yards away and then speed backwards all in the matter of seconds. I do agree that on a clear night you can see car lights, but they are much lower in sky and don't have the brightness, color changing, side to side motion and unpredictablity of the real light. I am planning a trip this weekend to show my fiance, daughter and her daughter the wonderful mystery of the paulding light.
