"...a six-hour trek to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where I sought out the "Mystery Light" of Paulding. As the sun set and the owls called all around us and the world grew inky around the edges, we stood in the woods, waiting. Sadly, the Mystery Light turned out to be nothing more mysterious than headlights glowing through the trees from a far-off highway. This was a familiar disappointment. I can't tell you how many times I have stood in dark places waiting for something to happen."

Somebody already said it was lights from a powerline and not carlights. Does anyone know for sure? Doesn't look like it too me.

I said powerlines.

However I did not say it WAS, I said it was a viable option that it seems no one had looked into... as I didn't think the car option was all that viable for various reasons.

If it's power lines that are causing the lights don't you think all power lines would do that?

not really...

We recently had a tree hit a nearby power line and catch on fire... the powerline was only effected at that point... it didn't travel down the whole line...
