Back in the early 90's was the first time I saw the light. My friends and I decided, the hell with it, lets go check it out. So many people had been talking about it that we just had to see for ourselves. Let me first say before I start my story that some people say that you have better experiences with the light if you go on a weekday when many people aren't there. Heres my story(and I swear this is the truth)! We arrived somewhere between 8 and 9pm on a wednesday( I can't forget it),it was in spingtime, it's wasn't quite all the way dark yet. We pulled over and got out of the car. We sat on the hood and had light conversation about whether we would even get to see the light. For a good 45 minutes we didn't see much. All of a sudden, there it was. Small in size and red in color, off in the distance. Scared the hell out of me. I just had a bad, eerie feeling. We watched it dance around in the sky for a good 40 minutes or so. We decided it wasn't doing much, so lets mess with it and we started flashing our headlights at it. Yea, bad mistake. All of a sudden it grew in size and turned into like a ice blue color. I decided I had had enough and I wanted to leave. As we proceed to get into the car, we notice the light is getting brighter and brighter. I tell the guys to hurry up so we can get in and lock the doors. By this time I shaking in my shoes. After we finally all get back in the car, I look up and I was blinded by this huge ball of light right next to the drivers side window. My boyfriend, at the time, was in the drivers seat. I swear he had death grip on the steering wheel. I started to scream and then cry. I was so god d**n scared. All I could do is yell at my boyfriend to start driving to get us the hell out of there!
Needless to say, I dreamt about that thing for weeks. I couldn't get it out of my head. I did go back about a year ago but this time there were several people there and it didn't do to much. I will tell you this though, I truly believe that there is some kind of spirit out there. I know what I saw and it was real! Thats the god honest truth.

My friends and I went up as well to chek out what was all the hullabaloo about. It was a weekend so weren't alone. With everyone else we waited until some noticed a tiny light appear. It moved and danced across the sky. When we thought it had done it all that's when it changed colors and all. Some of my group decided to follow the road further to see what they could see. When they finally came back they said it never seemed to get closer or further away. We stayed into the wee hours and then made a return trip the next morning. part of the trail had been eroded into a vast gully. they didn't see that at night which one of them had almost fallen into. I ave yet to hear any real explanation for the light and I suspect we never really will. Just one of those unexplained things I guess.

Ive been to the light dozens of times, and on 2 occasions have had whatever it is actually come within 20 feet of me, first time about 16 years ago it came rushing up the road at me and the car full of people that was with me, 6 years later i was married and had told my wife about it , we took a trip to the U.P. and my wife insisted on seeing it. While we were out there that night, it was pretty much standard at first just a few red lights fading in and out. About 20 minutes after being there i had a weird feeling like last time it had come at me, so i turned the car we were in around, the lights from the stereo were so bright i covered them with my hand, i heard my brother who was in the back seat say "Oh My God" and my wife gasp, i looked in the rear view mirror and saw the light moving extremely fast, to wards us, it disappeared for a second and then appeared as 2 orbs that literally filled the entire road, it was so bright it bathed the entire inside of the car with an eerie red glow, my wife screamed and started crying and my brother did too , so i gunned it out of there, haven't been back since then, dint plan to. Sounds outrageous But, its 100% true would stake my life on it.On one other occasion had some interesting electrical problems with a radio that kept shooting sparks out of the face of it every time the light would get brighter.
