We went to the light last night and sat there for 2 hours "Playing" with the light. We blinked our headlights at it twice and it blinked back at us twice (it was red at this time). We continued this game for quite a while. There were no other spectators at this time. Suddenly within seconds the light came up to our truck and got brighter and brighter (white light this time). It was right up on our vehicle and my husband and I backed up our vehicle because we were scared and hid around the corner and then it went away. We played this game several times and the following times the light did not come as close as it did the first time. We determined it could not be headlights - because it came right up to our vehicle!!! Lit up the inside of our truck!!! I believe that is a dead end road - but I'm not sure yet, I intend on checking eventually. Anyway it was VERY COOL and we also determined it is harmless - whatever this light is.

Here's a question: I would like to know if there is anyone interested in studying this light with my husband and I. We are now obsessed with it. I want to get a group together or something and do this over the summer for sure. We had so much fun last night - after we almost peed in our pants from our first experience. I've been to the light in my younger years many times and wanted to share this with my husband. In my younger years the exact same things happened to me and one of my friends when no one else was around. The light came right up on our vehicle and actually followed us. Once again - we had been playing the light blinking game with the mystery light. Nobody ever wanted to go back to the light with me after that.

Anyway -PLEASE let me know if you are interested!!!!! I think it would be cool maybe to get someone to really investigate the light - paranormal expert or something. Give me some ideas......By the way - the light has been around for over 70 years according to my Father who is 74 years old. Back then - the traffic was not busy on 45 because the casino was not where it is now. If you're skeptical try "playing" with the light and bring extra underwear and pants.

Sorry haven't been on this sight for a while - because it looked deserted for some time. Anyway how to get there - depends where you are coming from. If you know how to get to Watersmeet, Michigan on US-2 you will then turn onto Hwy 45 going North. You will go past the Lac Viex Desert Casino (Watersmeet Casino) on the right and go about 3 or 4 miles and look for a brown sign on the right side of the road that says Robbins Pond Campground. That is the road you will take to the Paulding Light. Robbins Pond Road. You can also find it on mapquest - this road for approximates in distance. The road will then be a simple dirt road with a stop sign you will see on the left side of Hwy 45. Go down this road until you come to the metal guard rail which blocks the road. This is where you can wait and watch the Paulding Light. Let me know if you want us to meet you there sometime. That would be cool! Thanks for responding!

definitely have to say its real! i was there a couple of years ago and my cousin was determined to get a picture of it on her phone. but when she finally aimed her phone, the light turned red and got very rapid in its movement. then her phone rang with an unknown phone number showing up. when she answered, there was just air. it was the craziest thing ever!!!

We just went there and the scariest thing happened to us. So we got there at 2 am. when we pulled up we waited forever and saw no lights. just when we were about to leave, ouir car was stuck in the snow. It is like below zero and we tried to dig the car out and everything. With no bulidings or anything in sight for miles, we started walking. Our cell phones had no reception. We turned around to look and there was the light shining bright as ever, inching ttowards us. we we soooo scared! we ran back to the car and waioted a while. the we were frerezing and thought for sure we werent going to make it. All of a sudden, at 4 am, a truck happened to come and towed us out! Thank god. It was the scariest experience of my life!

i was there two nights in a row. feb. 26, 27th 2008. 2 other people with me the first night and 4 others the 2nd night. we saw light both nights. 3 times in 20 minutes the first night and 3 times in about 25 minutes the next night. the ground would glow real bright at first, then the red light would appear and swing back and forth. then the white light would show up sometimes also. the first night the white light was extremely bright, had the whole clearing lit up like day time and it came half way to us from where it start then went out. the first night also had a very distinct glow straight up in the air the whole time....like a large spot like at a car dealership that shines in the air to attract peoples attention. that vertical was not present the 2nd night. very interesting indeed. and its for sure real, and not car lights or tail lights in my opinion. way way way tooo bright! and many inconsistant movements to be cars miles and miles away. paranormal for sure.

YEAH ITS REAL...WE WERE THERE ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO, ALL BY OURSELVES, THE 4 OF US, AND SAW THE LIGHT. IT WAS A LITTLE SPOOKY AT FIRST, BUT THEN WE GOT USED TO IT. ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE CAR'S ALARM STARTED GOING OFF, TO WHICH POINT THE LIGHT VANISHED!! I AM GUESSING IT IS SOME SORT OF MAGNETIC FIELD OR SOMETHING, WHICH HAD AFFECTS ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF THE CAR! ALL IN ALL, GOOD TIMES, AND DEFINATLY SOMETHING TO CHECK OUT. I DID TRY TO GET IT ON VIDEO, WITH NO LUCK.
