We went there in much anticipation and brought good powered binoculars and a tripod...disappointed to say it is in fact headlights and taillights. 45 has a hill north of Paulding and through binoculars, you can see the traffic streaming, discern the taillights and headlights and even see approaching vehicles turn down their brights to on coming traffic. You can also see the reflection off of street signs (and even make out the shape of the signs) from the northbound traffics headlights...
To the naked eye, it looks pretty impressive and the colors get blended. You loose the light when the cars travel below the tree line or over the crest of the hill.
Obviously, Fact or Fake didn't block off the road far enough ahead.
I'm 100% certain it's cars, but some will still argue otherwise because it ruins the romance, but sorry, I know what I saw. Maybe someone should send a squad car up the hill with it's blue and reds on while looking through binos at the observation area...that will end the debate.
