that is how the light works if you read my last post on the page before it might help. the atmosphere acts like a light refactor. there are temperature changes in the air when the sun goes down kinda like when you see heat waves and they focus the light directly on the point where you can view the light.
think ant under magnifying glass. if you think they are car lights there is a video where there are car lights then a big wavy light above them that's the real paulding light. I haven't been there yet but I bet at a certain point in the night the light stops because the atmosphere has evened out in temperature hence no waves
I really like that theory but it has been proven fake. The TV show 'Fact of Faked: Paranormal Files' has tested the theory of it being headlights. Very thoroughly, they explain that no possible way could headlights have reflected into the moutain. If you don't believe me, watch the episode at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gtz62vRBSXo This is part 1/3. Please check it out XD
the light is real! i live less than an hour away and i have witnessed the real light.. not this stupid car headlights bullnuts. the light came up to us and flew right past us. i believe that it was angry at us for being there and messing around and being noisy. but the light is real and i will never forget seeing it. i almost pissed my pants i was so scared.
I was just watching a recent episode of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. They did research on the Paulding Light. They tried to debunk it and re-create the light and got nowhere. They concluded there investigation with it still being a Mystery. They had taken EMF detectors, gas detector, an ATV. First experiment was taking a huge flashlight and fly above the sighting, it was not efficient with the paulding light. Second was driving up to the site in an ATV and stand at the actual source of where the light appears. A team member stood at the bottom of the hill and the light appeared. They did not see nor could figure out where the light was coming from. They were standing in the same location and they were both stumped. Next was an experiment with car lights. They drove to the top of Route 45 and tried to drive down towards the sighting while one other team member was at the very bottom of the hill waiting for their lights to appear on the hill where the paulding light appears. That experiment did not work as well. The headlights could not be seen nor if they could be seen the headlights couldn't possibly match up to the brightness of the light itself. Their investigation concluded the Paulding light to remain a mystery.
I'm not in the least interested in the arguments are going on this forum. But I will add that the thought that for over 60 years nobody thought to think that these mysterious lights are head lights from a car or a plane are ridiculous. That's clearly not at all the case. Even it were, I have yet to see anybody explain exactly how it could be such a thing.
So my question is, what is it? I'm curious to see what everyone thinks it could actually be. And I mean serious out of the box thinking.
Yea, Fact or Faked sucks. Why didn't they do the EASIEST test, take a telescope and look at the light (Like the group from Michigan tech did)? Why? Because then you would see the cars. They didn't even use their regular camera to try to zoom in.
They only blocked off a part of 45, and the wrong part. The spot where you see the cars from is 5 to 7 miles away. They only blocked off the road 1 to 2 miles away.
Check on You Tube for the vid "Unraveling the Paulding Light mystery" for a decent investigation.
This is the best explanation as of yet that I've seen. It makes sense, but it doesn't explain where the light is coming from. It sounds very similar to the current holographic technology. But don't quote me on that. I think that there is still room that this is a natural phenomena but as of yet still unexplained.
