Hello Paulding Light followers,
My name is Eric and I have been in the electricity / electronics / electromagnetics business for 15 years - I am 99% sure I can prove the origins of the Paulding Light.
Not exactly sure who has a genuine interest in knowing related electrical engineering phenomena which could shed light on the subject - so I grabbed a group of email links from various sources to begin discussing some evidence with like minded people such as yourselves.
Have you ever heard of EL lighting?
www.luminousfilm.com/ This is technology I have worked with for years and I am pretty sure the primary colors Green, Red and White which are created by EL technology - is well beyond simple coincidence that the Paulding Light produces similar primary colors.
Elements of EL include Phosphorus and Nitrogen compounds… which are components that are also readily found in the air. These elements are also responsible for specific colors associated with the Northern Lights. When the elements fall from an excited state - light output results.
EL is triggered by a small alternating current, usually a frequency higher than 60Hz AC on the power line – typically a range from 200 to 400Hz AC. It is related to standard AC and shows how the nearby power lines could affect the light. Remember however that the light was sighted long before the power lines were there - which proves the lines are not the source, just an interacting component.
Speaking of the source… Mother Earth… That’s the truth. Not a spirit – not paranormal – it is earth’s electricity that is focused in this one area because of the unique properties of the underground terrain and surrounding air.
Fact is scientists proved long ago that billions of watts of energy pass through the earth every day. These energies are huge and AC in nature.
Fact is the earth at this specific location is rich or saturated with some of the best conductive elements in nature including Iron and Copper.
Fact is Iron and Copper conductors harness a vast sea of electrons that through oxidation can migrate into the air and cause larger than normal concentrations of electrons in the air.
Fact is where high concentrations of conductors in the earth exist – promotes increased electromagnetic activity and transference of power between ground and atmosphere, mostly invisible – but not always in very rare cases around the globe including the northern/southern lights.
Fact is where increased electromagnetic activity exists – promotes increased ionic / electron bonding among many gaseous elements and increases energy levels in air.
Fact is where increased energy levels exist in gases - so are elements that are migrating from a “high energy state” to a “low energy state” and release photons, known as “photonics” or visual light emissions – the same proof which explains how the aurora occurs. (Or “Lasers” for that matter – “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation” = LASER)
In short – some of the earths billions of watts of electrical power are channeled through deep earth deposits of Iron and Copper to the surface where they interface with gases – excite the gases and canemit light(s).
These energies are very fluid – like northern lights – they do not stay in the same place or the same color for long.
Static charges in the air become stronger as the humidity decreases – which explains why they are more prevalent in the winter. (Notice also you get more static shocks from doorknobs and car doors in the winter)
I can think of several ways of testing the area to prove finally what the light is. To protect my intellectual property I will only share one way at this time.
Reference Benjamin Franklin September of 1752 – “Experiments in Electricity.” By using an object similar to a kite or a metal clothesline, the energy can be shunted to a capacitor (Ben’s glass phial) and measured using modern instrumentation. Put up a stationary conductor and eventually the light will pass close enough to gather proof like Ben did lightning 253 years ago. Once this is accomplished, I am 99% sure, we will be able to measure the energy during the day as well, even though it won’t be seen visually.
In addition, reference Saint Elmo’s Fire which has been reported occurring on the tall masts of sailing ships since long before America was founded.
I can think of several additional experiments that can provide additional proofs from interaction with the area but am afraid that if I give away all my secrets someone will steal my electrical engineering works and report or publish them without my consent.
These facts are based primarily undisputed scientific knowns. Perhaps one day we can work together to fully describe this phenomena for the public – it is a rare and wonderful thing people deserve to know how it works.
