I used to live in the U.P. and my friends and I would go to see this thing twice a summer. We found a way to get our truck behind all the road blocks through a small "trail" off of HWY 45, a little north of Robbins Pond Rd. We got to a large clearing, and parked at the top of a hill right along the telephone lines (the old track bed). That night the light was within 20 yards of us, loud whistling could be heard throughout the woods, and it shot towards us very quickly, disappearing right before our very eyes! We went to start the truck and it wouldn't start, so we had to let it roll down the hill back to the dirt road. While trying to push start the truck we could still hear whistling and strange noises throughout the woods... it was truly scary!
whos to say that what youre saying is the truth. a lot of people say it moves and came up to them but i have yet to see it come any closer than the horizon it sits on...and ive been to the trail that you spoke of. it seems like the light just stays put and get bright and dim. where in the UP did you used to live because i am a UP native myself
