[glow=red,2,300][/glow]Hey nonbeliever: Did you do any research on this before you went and said it's head lights? Unsolved Mysteries, Ripleys Believe it or Not, and countless others have had specials on t.v. about this. There is also a reward out there for anyone that can actually PROVE what it is! There have been scientists trying to see what it is even. This has been recorded in the 1800's when there weren't head lights out every night. Every single night this is there. Doesn't matter if its a hot summer night or a frigid yooper night, its still there. I have pictures of this light and some odd things around it if anyone wants me to post 'em. Just let me know where to do it and I will! I've been out to this light more than 20 times.
you are so right, we went out last night, and people there were saying it was a car, and i kept telling them it wasnt a car, my camera kept turning off on me everytime i went to take a pic sometimes i couldnt pick up the light in my camera, and the pics i did take i got them on to myc omputer and this one is wierd shaped, and i brightened it alittle bit better to see it better, and it looked like two eyes on the bottom of this swirl, i would love to see the pics you have.. i would like to chat with ya my email is email@example.com and my messenger... hit me up sometime
We went to the light, didn't see anything but car head lights and tail lights ahead on the highway. There is also a road down in the valley past the creek and folks can easily drive in there, run through the woods, shine lights, etc. The red orb and all that stuff is weird. Janet says the light hasn't really been active in years. Her pictures are interesting, but most can be explained. Tapping on cars, cool temp spots are all normal night time/temp change happenings.
If you want to be creeped out, drive down to the campground which they say is actually closer to where the RR tracks were and the accident happened. If you look at the terrain where most people sit, there were no RR tracks around there ever. That campground area is creepy. I remember there was an old mill town down there. The d**n at the pond is still visible.
Just got back from checking out the light. Its nice to get back up here after 3.5 years. Everything is grown up quite a bit and it probably won't be to many more years before the trees and shrubs are high enough to block the light coming from the cars as they crest the hill just north of Paulding. That is unless they go through and clean up the area for the power line right of way again. I wish i would have brought my telescope since some people still can't understand they are looking at the car lights on Hwy 45 as they go up and down the hill north of Paulding. Also got to try out a new video camera that has the option to lock in the back-light compensation and focus to a single setting this was then tuned to the brightness of the area right near dusk so that the camera does not keep loosing focus and brightening the image farther than what the actual light level is coming from the cars that are so far away. This really helped get a better video of the light while also showing how much everyones eyes had adjusted to the low light level. Since it gets that dark out there, many people don't seem to realize that there eyes play tricks on them as they approach these low light levels. So everyone including myself was seeing the light really bright almost blinding in fact come toward us and begin to light up the inside of the vehicles, but upon closer inspection of the recorded footage from the cameras everyone could plainly see the true, very dim intensity of the actual light that made it all those miles from the cars on the hill. This just goes to show how amazingly efficient and adaptable the human eye is even when their is not enough light to accurately create an image of the surrounding area since only the rods of the retina are being used in these low light conditions it explains why when the intensity gets high enough people sometimes see other colors in conjunction with atmospheric filtering of some of the wavelengths of light causing a color shift from the actual light color. It was once again a lot of fun to get back up there to play around with new toys and hopefully in the future i will have a few more toys at my disposal to try out.
all i have to say is the paulding light is very frightning i personally think its evil because i was there last night with some friends and we walked to the crook passed the bericad as we were walking down we heard very @#%@ed up noises in the woods. there were also people in front of us they cam running so fast back up the hill and we ran 2as we got close to our car i turned around and noticd that the light went from left to right and dissipeared i asked why the people were screamming and ran they said that there was a black oval shaped thing floating in the air like 20 feet in front of them they said it was getting bigger ...it was very strangee they took off but we stayed still curious there was a lady there and she has been studying it for like 5 years and showed us pictures that were taken by her the one that really amaized me was one of the light looked like a human being kinda more like an alien..and right by it was a red light going up.its really freakyy u may think im making this up i would think that 2 if i heard this but wow im not that place is not right there is alot of negative energy there ..the light that people see and thin its the paulding lights not its cars way in the distance trust me wait for it it comessss close when the real light shows up...its not normal someones trying to cover it up. bring a video camera and tell me if it not goes dead there in like 2 minss mine did and it was fully charged the light is not telling us something somethings hiding in the area personally i think its not good and might seem to harm
dude u typ like a 13 yr old gurl lrn to use a period u dumm e its2hrd 2 figure out whut u r tryin 2 tell us
My daughters and I drove 2 hours to Watersmeet last night form Suring WI. By the time we got up there it was misty and kind of hazy, so I was scared that they wouldn't get to see anything. We visited Bond Falls and that was cool as usual, then went to see the light. There were pretty many cars there, but it was pretty hazy and it was drizzling. We walked up on the hill to the left right away cuz it was hard to get to the rail with the group of people. These people that were there, were on walkie talkies and they were talking to some people that were in a vehicle driving around out on the trails that head toward the lights. Every time we thought we saw something, the people would be talking to the people in the vehicle as they were driving by certain points on the trail. I've been there before and I did see how bright the lights usually are and I do believe we saw a GLOW, but those people driving around out there were kind of pissing me off because every time I thought my daughters would be able to see something, it was just their vehicle INVESTIGATING. We left disappointed, because I don't know if we actually saw the actual glow of the light or if it was the car messing around down there! Can you usually see a GLOW when it is hazy like that?? I was sad that it ended up being so hazy. To go on a good clear night is so amazing. I'll have to try AGAIN!!!

In days gone by there was a King who had three sons. When his sons came of age the King called them to him and said, "My dear lads, I want you to get married so that I may see your little ones, my grand-children, before I die." And his sons replied, "Very well, Father, give us your blessing. Who do you want us to marry?"
"Each of you must take an arrow, go out into the green meadow and shoot it. Where the arrows fall, there shall your destiny be."
So the sons bowed to their father, and each of them took an arrow and went out into the green meadow, where they drew their bows and let fly their arrows.
The arrow of the eldest son fell in the courtyard of a nobleman, and the nobleman's daughter picked it up. The arrow of the middle son fell in the yard of a merchant, and the merchant's daughter picked it up. But the arrow of the youngest son, Prince Ivan, flew up and away he knew not where. He walked on and on in search of it, and at last he came to a marsh, where what should he see but a frog sitting on a leaf with the arrow in its mouth. Prince Ivan said to it, "Frog, frog, give me back my arrow."
